Gavanti Kasuti hand embroidery technique is an intricate embroidery technique practiced by artisans in Karnataka, India. This cushion cover is made from Dupion silk by expert artisans. The word Kasuti is derived from the words Kai (meaning hand) and Suti (meaning cotton), indicating an activity that is done using hands on cotton fabric.
