This cushion cover featues Kutch’s Ahir hand embroidery. Made of silk fabric with hand-embroidered mirror work by expert craftswomen in the Kutch region, it has a cotton fabric lining inside. Traditionally, Ahirs have been herders and shepherds. Ahir embroidery is mostly bold and their motifs are geometric shapes, floral patterns, animals and birds. This is one of the most commercialised embroidery styles of Kutch. Customised designs and colors possible for a small batch production of 100 pieces.
